Our First Baby

Our second baby is coming shortly and as the due date approaches I have had moments of disbelief that this little bean won't be our littlest anymore. She is getting big, saying more, asserting herself more, demanding more, but in so many ways she is still tiny. Zelda loves to be held, she loves to cuddle and she loves all the attention that she gets. We have started to read books about expecting a new baby and becoming a big sister. Peter and I call the big sisters in those books, 'Zelda', and I think she is starting to understand that someone new is coming to live with her in her house and that she won't be the baby anymore. Sometimes, if I ask her to, she even kisses the baby in the book. I hope she feels the same way about the one that is coming to stay in her room.
