When you have a 10 month old and use disposable diapers every day it can feel like your families carbon footprint is massive. Aside from recycling the newspaper every other day I am very lazy about being environmental (does riding the subway count as being environmentally friendly?).
My sister is a super aware consumer that uses solar energy and has a hand cranked radio. She recently told me about this store, Branch, which produces sustainable toys, furniture and gifts. Everything is designed and produced with as minimal a negative effect on the environment as possible. I really like this idea. I am thinking maybe Zelda's toddler bed may be made from bamboo.
