Really?

Yesterday, the little bean and I were coming home from midtown. We get off the subway at one of those stations without an elevator and I was hauling Zelda and her stroller up the stairs. This nice man stopped me and asked if I needed help carrying her up the stairs. I said, 'yes" and thanked him profusely. We got to the sidewalk outside, put Zelda down and the man wouldn't leave.

He started saying he had helped me out and that I should help him out by giving him $5. I couldn't believe it! Really? We debated back and forth for a few minutes until I gave him 50 cents. In the future, I will not accept help from anyone on the subway.
