A couple of weeks ago the little bean had her first visit to the dentist. I was really nervous for her. Usually at the doctor she screams and hollers even when she just gets weighed, I was sure that somebody inspecting her mouth with cold instruments was going to trigger a tantrum. We arrived and entered the adorable waiting room and even though Zelda was the only kid there she still played nervously with the toys. When she was called in to see the dentist she was excited to see Elmo videos playing on the ceiling and a big stuffed crocodile. The dentist used the crocodile to show Zelda how her teeth would be inspected and then I sat back in the big chair and put the little bean in my lap. It was so easy! She kicked and screamed for about a minute or two, but the visit was over in 10 minutes total and she was given a goody bag with a new ball, stickers and a sweet little green toothbrush. Best part... no cavities. We'll go again in 6 months, I may even convince Peter to take her, he loves goody bags.
