My dad told me about this NPR story about the rhythm of temper tantrums the other day. Apparently, the best way for a parent to handle a child's tantrum is to let her be angry, allow her to kick, scream and yell until they just feel sad, then they will want their parents to comfort them. It makes sense to me, but when does the research on how to avoid tantrums all together come out? That's what I want to read.
