The Central Park Zoo is not the place to be on the last week before school starts. The line for tickets was super long and there were kids everywhere, but we still had fun. We skipped the big zoo and went straight to the Children's Zoo, which is basically a big petting zoo. I figured this would be a great activity for us to do without Peter (he gets nervous around farm animals). Zelda loved it all.
The llama loved to lick her hand and the goats went bonkers for the little pellets that the kids would feed them.
We didn't actually give the animals any of the food pellets, I was a little nervous the little bean would try to eat them herself.
It was a great day, the little bean was pretty much mesmerized by these big animals. We will definitely be back, maybe when the zoo isn't quite so crowded and maybe when Zelda can actually give the animals some food.
