Happy Birthday to Me

Now that I am in my thirties you would think that I would blow out my birthday candle before diving into my chocolate Happy Birthday plate, I did not. I have no patience when anything chocolate is placed in front of me.

As I get older I like not doing the whole birthday party thing, my intention was to keep it mellow with a simple family dinner at Dovetail. It was absolutely delicious. We brought Zelda, of course, and although I had thought she would love the highchair the hostess brought out for her, it turned out she much preferred falling asleep in my arms.

I didn't mind and she definitely didn't keep me from devouring my chocolate caramel souffle!
