Our first few days after leaving the hospital were very intense. I was really nervous. There was WAY too much to think about doing and WAY too much to think about doing wrong. On top of all the baby stuff I couldn't imagine doing anything else, especially walking our sweet Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Hugo.
Thankfully, Peter's parents had taken our dog for the month and we didn't have to worry about him for a little while. We did have a little meet and greet though, when Zelda was a week old. I brought her over to Peter's parents' ("Meme and the Duke") apartment to meet what we were sure would be her new best friend, but the meeting was not great. Hugo sat and stared at her, whining a little bit. He definitely was not feeling the love. Wish I could say he feels it now!
